The Good Food Neighborhood, what was PASA's fee-based online social networking site for folks who want to connect over local foods, is taking on new life. As a public service, PASA will be removing the payment structure and providing free access to all the advanced features of this site which is built on the buylocalpa.org search engine. The switch is happening as we speak, so please be sure to visit the site in September to explore all the great searching, networking and events activities on the site.
There is also a new facebook page which is serving as a venue for sharing events and information that link local foods, farms and people. 2012 will bring with it PASA's newest educational venture: Sustainability Schools. These homemaker/homesteader/backyard environmentalist workshops are already creating a lot of buzz.
Visit the Good Food Neighborhood on facebook and click on "like" at the top of the page to be sure not to miss events in your area. The Good Food Neighborhood is developing into a place for all people, PASA members and non-members alike, to connect over strengthening local sustainable food systems. The doors are wide open in the Good Food Neighborhood, won't you come on in for a sit down at the community table? Contact: Hannah Smith, Community Outreach Coordinator to participate
