Prior to Kirsten & Darrel Reinford partnering with Joshua Group to form Joshua Farm, the farm was just an unused & overgrown athletic field owned by the Harrisburg School District? Now it is a lush oasis providing nutrition and beauty for the surrounding community. When asked about how the farm impact the community, Kirsten shared:
"Gardens are great if you've got space and time, but for the rest of the world, a quick stop at your local farm stand or farmers market can be even better-nutritious, fresh, delicious produce without all the work! In all but the densest of concrete jungles, tables are laden with ripe fruits and vegetables, and even in urban environments, farms such as Joshua Farm are shortening the distance from field to fork."
